LEDLET Speakers in Schools Programme runs alongside our other programmes and provides schools and colleges with the opportunity to request a talk from a lawyer about careers in the legal profession.

The programme has been running for four years with lawyers drawn from the membership of the Association of London Welsh Lawyers and individual volunteers giving their time in order to enthuse a new generation with insights in how to pursue a career in the legal profession.

Students can be any age group but the most relevant in relation to applying to our Summer Scheme will be year twelve, just before starting their A level year.

The talk can take any format and is arranged at a mutually convenient time to both the school/college and the speaker.

The lawyers give their time freely and there is no cost involved to the school. LEDLET will reimburse the speaker's reasonable travel costs.

To request more information on the programme please contact our secretary at: ledletsecretary@outlook.com

What the schools say:

"I just wanted to thank you and everyone at LEDLET for the amazing visit by Geoffrey Kingscote this morning.
Geoffrey was truly inspirational and I think all the pupils, (twenty five pupils attended) really enjoyed his visit and will be reassessing their options.
"

Ursula McPhee, Archbishop McGrath School, Bridgend, May 2016

What the students think:

"It really was a special visit. I actually heard pupils who attended the talk discussing Geoffrey last week. He really made a lasting impression." Ursula McPhee, July 2017
