The speakers in school project aims to provides schools and colleges with the opportunity to request a talk from a lawyer about careers in the legal profession.
The programme has been running for four years with lawyers drawn from the membership of the Association of London Welsh Lawyers and individual volunteers giving their time in order to enthuse a new generation with insights in how to pursue a career in the legal profession.
Students can be any age group but the most relevant in relation to applying to our Summer Scheme will be year twelve, just before starting their A level year. The talk can take any format and is arranged at a mutually convenient time to both the school/college and the speaker.
The lawyers give their time freely and there is no cost involved to the school. LEDLET will reimburse the speaker's reasonable travel costs.
